Social trend analyses are not conducted in a vacuum at DYG, Inc. The SCAN program is broad in scope, integrating data from quantitative, qualitative and secondary research sources. The resulting information base is extremely rich and allows for enlightened interpretation. The annual SCAN program consists of the following survey and research activities:
General Public Surveys
- Social Values Survey (4,000 interviews)
- Measures 48 Social Values from Cultural Anthropology
- Additional items on lifestyles, attitudes, behaviors, etc.
Qualitative Research
- Series of focus groups conducted annually on special topics that emerge from SCAN data
