Throughout more than 20 years in marketing and publishing, Jane has helped build strong positions that ground and extend brand franchises. One hallmark of Jane’s “inside-out” positioning process is the interpretation and application of social trend data to allow clients to claim a meaningful, profitable place in the market by telling their essential brand story in the context of the culture.
In her corporate career, Jane was General Manager, Marketing and Communications, for Ralph Lauren Media, a joint venture of Polo Ralph Lauren and NBC, where she helped launch RLM’s successful e-commerce business Polo.com. Prior to this, she was the publisher of Men’s Health magazine preceded by a long-term role as the positioning/marketing strategy consultant for MH–one of the fastest-growing, most profitable brands in the US and internationally. In her own consulting business, Jane’s clients have ranged from the upscale such as Conde Nast and Polo to the broader-based such as Consumer Reports and Prudential; projects have included breakthrough launches (More, The Week) as well as long-established brands (Vogue, The Atlantic).
Jane is committed to non-profit work ranging from Hobart & William Smith Colleges to The What to Expect Foundation to The Ridgefield Playhouse for the Performing Arts. She is currently President of the Board for ROAR – Ridgefield Operation for Animal Rescue. She lives in Ridgefield, CT.
